Four Years Ago In Ethiopia

After years of planning, paperwork, hoping and praying... 4 years ago today, Marshall and I took a 30 hour journey to Ethiopia to see our new baby daughter for the first time. While we usually celebrate August 28th, the day we arrived home with her and introduced her to her brothers, as Family Day, I can't help to think back to the time we both laid eyes on her and held her for the first time.

I can't wait to see what the future holds for my darling girl. I am so blessed to be her Mama.

  1. Just so you know. Your video of when you met your daughter was instrumental in our decision to adopt. It really touched my husband's heart. Thank you.

And now we are waiting for a court date for our 2 sweet boys!

    God is good.

    Blessings,

  5. Hello! I just found your blog via Sherri Eldridge's facebook page. Seeing your pics remembering back to the first time you laid eyes on your daughter brought tears to my eyes. I'm going through a hard time with my 14 yo daughter and remembering back to the first time I laid eyes on her and brought her home....it's a good thing to remember. God bless you and yours, Deb Stuart
