Kitchen Accomplished!

Eleven and 1/2 years ago we bought our house. The kitchen was original 1950's and in bad shape/fairly unusable. We gutted/remodeled the kitchen when we moved in.

Here it was, right after it was completed the first time.

We were 23 and 24 years old and pretty excited about having a new kitchen. Of course these days I would've chosen different cabinets, but at the time, it was quite an improvement.

Now with new granite countertops, new sink and fresh paint, I feel like it's a brand new kitchen. Was just finished yesterday. I can't wait to cook in it.

Now raise your hand if you thought it would be purple.

  2. Green was your previous fave color, and your dining room is purple, right? so I figured it had to be one or the other.

  5. Your kitchen looks lovely! If you ever want to redo the cabinets, a little paint works wonders. Almost all of our kitchens have painted cabinets. Plus, when you get tired of them, you can always repaint! Mine are only about 3 years old, and I can totally see myself changing the color in the next year or two. My DH will love to hear that! I know you are gonna enjoy cooking up a storm in that *renewed* kitchen!
