Had to give myself a pedicure since it's Birkenstock weather again. Exactly one week ago the temperatures here soared into the 80's, where they've stayed ever since. I actually had to break out the short sleeves and start running the A/C again. Is this it? Just a couple of weeks of long-sleeve weather and then winter is over?
And the worst part of it all? I only got to wear my new purple jacket twice.
So tell me, how warm is it where you are?
Purple .... why am I not surprised?
ReplyDeleteActually, I kinda was till I realized who's blog I was reading :)
how warm is it here? let's just say that the world hasn't seen my toenails for at least 4 months and won't be seeing them again for another 4 or 5 :(
ReplyDeleteWe are at a toasty 39 degrees here. I'm showin' some toes today - even if it kills me... and it might.
ReplyDeleteHow WARM????????? Huhhhh...it's a balmy 32 right now!
ReplyDeleteDriving home from the construction house last night, I said it felt warmer... and it was! I am telling you, you can definitly feel the difference between 3 degrees and 17 degrees. Much below 3 degrees, and especially when you dip into negative temps, it all feels the same.
ReplyDeleteHershey, PA signing off!
Warm... hm.. Today it is a steamy NEGATIVE 3! And that's with out the wind chill factor!
ReplyDeleteBut you just keep teasing us okay? LOL
from Michigan
OK, how's this for extreme? Thursday and Friday school was canceled for most schools in the Chicagoland area - due to extreme wind chills. 30 and 40 below zero. I haven't seen my toenails in at least a month! -BA
ReplyDeleteIt is 80 here too and BEAUTIFUL!! Lovin' this winter weahter...but beware, February is our wettest month, so don't get too excited Sourhtern California!
ReplyDeleteHow can you tell me you're not a hippie and then you post a picture of Birks?? ;) And we've made it up to 63 right now, which is better than yesterday. I'm still in my fleece PJs though. I'm not taking any chances.
ReplyDeleteLiving out in the middle of southern Long Island is always the warmest spot of NY... even at 28 degrees with flurries! lol
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to find my toes again!
Well lets see Friday it was too cold for my hubby to go to work, he works outside, I think it was in the low 30s. Today it's supposed to be 65. You never know here in TX. At the end of Feb, 6 years ago, we had snow. Though normally at this time of year it's in the 40s or so.
ReplyDeleteWe are having a heat wave...it is 13 today!! That way beats the -15 to -30 we have had this past week!!! I long for sandles and short sleeves!! No fair :-)
ReplyDelete-22 F on Friday. Man I wish it was in the 80's. Anyway I wear my Birks all year round.
ReplyDeleteLenka
How do I stick my tongue out at you online?? Anyway, that's my response to your question! Grrrr...
ReplyDeleteBut your toes are adorable!
Gloves, Scarves and Sunglasses here in COLD but SUNNY Oregon!
ReplyDeleteWe are up to a positively balmy 27 degrees fahrenheit today...and have the fresh snowfall to prove it (another 8 inches). It has been so cold until today that the schools have not allowed the kids to go out for any recess time. They have been cooped up all day for a week now...I have paid the price for it all weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weather!
Aaah, shuddup!
ReplyDeleteIt was 7 when we came HOME from church today. 7. Yes. Single digits. I haven't seen my toes naked, outside of the shower in MONTHS and it'll be ages before I get to break out my sandals. :P
It was 20 degrees F today. I wish it was 20 degrees C. That I could live with! :-)
ReplyDeleteUmm....78 degrees. Rediculous! I want winter back.
ReplyDelete80s here, since I live less than an hour from you. :) We were at the Skirball Museum today, and it was a little cooler, and absolutely gorgeous outside. Drove home with windows down and the sunroof open. These are the days (and they are few and far between) that I feel blessed to live in Southern California.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me? Sandals?
ReplyDeleteWe just got 6 more inches of snow.
I'm not sure our sidewalks haven't been stolen undercover of night.
Love the toesies...and all the purplishness...it's 43 at 6:30 pm in Reno...we had a high in the low 50s today...and yes, that's downright balmy weather!!
ReplyDelete50's here. I'm definitely not ready for summer. I love spring and can't wait for the 60's & 70's. Since we don't get any snow here I look forward to spring.
ReplyDeletelove the toes ;)
seriously what's with the weather in la this week?! i wore a short sleeve shirt and flip flops
ReplyDeleteand as coincidence would have it i got purple polish on my pedi today TOO!
thanks for sharing your awesome hubby story over at LTR. LOVE it!
Nobody will ever catch me asking for more winter! It stinks! My kids missed two days of school last week because it was so cold....when we got up in the morning it was -16 with wind chill. Awful, awful stuff. I need to move away from Ohio to somewhere that doesn't get below 40 or 50.
ReplyDeleteNever fear, Julie. You'll get to wear that purple coat again. Remember May-Gray and June Gloom?
ReplyDelete;-)
Wow... you're just trying to rub it in, aren't you? *sigh*
ReplyDeleteLOVE those perky purple toes! I won't be wearing sandals until at least May around here. It's been SO cold-- windchills below 0 last week. Sigh. It's is cuddling weather with cozy blankets and books though:)
ReplyDeleteIn a word it's COLD here. Here is Loves Park, IL where last week we had 30 degrees BELOW zero. Today we're sitting at a balmy -1...It's like a heat wave!
ReplyDeleteWill someone tell me why oh why did I move away from Los Angeles???
We have no warmth to speak of at all. It's all Uggs, all the time around here.
ReplyDeleteDaily feet. <- that's one for your keyword log.
Warm? You're kidding, right?
ReplyDeleteWe've had a heatwave the past few days .. we are out of the negative teens and into the regular teens.
Enjoy your heatwave, miss =-)
I'm trying really hard not to hate you for your weather right now. 80s? Are you kidding me. *sigh*
ReplyDelete*weep*
Britt (another fantastic Iowan) posted above me.
Last week it was -19*. But we had a heat wave yesterday of 33* and tons of snow melted.
Now we only have 5" of snow all over intead of 7 to 8 inches.
And today, it's 19* degrees.
*cry*
Just wandering the web today. Yay for purple polish & birkees! It is warm where I am also, Sacramento. Crazy huh?
ReplyDeleteI laughed at the braile sign also, you're not alone.
