More Random Things? (Tagged)

I've been tagged by both my bloggy buddies Beth and Robbin. Beth tagged me for 7 Random Things and Robbin tagged me for 6 Random Things. I love reading those, because I love random. And random loves me. But the challenge is finding out more random things about me that I haven't already shared here and here. I'm doing 6 Random Things, because 6 is two 3's and 3 is my favorite number. How's that for random?! But I'm saying it counts for both tags. Cause it's my blog and I make the rules here.

6 Random Things About Me:

1. I have eczema on the tips of my fingers, which flares up when I'm stressed. Because of this, when we go out to eat, Marshall always squeezes lemons into my water or lime into my beer for me without me ever asking him to. Cause eczema+lemon juice pain > paper cut+lemon juice pain. Oh, and in case you're curious... I take 3 lemon slices in my water and 5 lime slices in my beer.

2. I am a creature of habit. If I find a dish at a restaurant that I love, I will order it each and every time we go to that restaurant. And will never tire of it. Because if you know you love that dish, why risk trying something you might not like, and waste the chance to get the dish you love?

3. My favorite color used to be: Are you ready for this? GREEN. Yep. I loved green. Not long after I was married I had an epiphany. I was kind of tired of green and I realized I loved purple more. My purple passion has far surpassed any passion I ever had for green. I'm fairly certain I won't ever get tired of purple. Just this week I registered for the domain: www.ilovepurplemorethanyou.com
Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Currently it forwards to this blog.

4. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was 4, while sitting on the toilet. I usually left that last little detail out when people asked me about it in church youth group.

5. I have a secret desire to dress up in a beautiful period gown and attend a Renaissance Faire. Marshall doesn't share that vision which is why it's never happened.

6. When I was younger, I had an unhealthy obsession with Lou Diamond Phillips. Though I got over it by the time I met Marshall, he was aware of my past feelings for Lou. When we would go to Blockbuster to rent a movie, he would always say, "Pick any movie except a Lou Diamond Phillips Movie." And as fate would have it, 3 years after we married, Marshall ended up working on a Lou Diamond Phillips movie. And though Marshall is not supposed to ever solicit autographs at work, he made one exception and got Lou's autograph for me. To date, Marshall says he was the nicest celebrity he's ever met.

There you go. My 6 random things. Now it's my turn to tag 6 bloggy friends.

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person that tagged you.
2. Post the rules on the blog.
3. Write six random facts about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post
5. Let each person know they have been tagged.
6. Let the taggers know when your entry is up.

I'm tagging:
1. Lula
2. Darcy
3. Susan (let's see if she can do it with pictures)
4. Debbie
5. Julie in Hungary
6. Julie in Los Angeles who USED to live in a purple house.

Come on people, it's just 6 random things. You can do this tag. If you don't, I'll hunt you all down and paint your houses purple.

  4. My first thought about this is that I have already blathered so much about myself, there's is nothing left. Can I just link to me old tagged post? Is that too lame?

  6. I do the same thing at restaurants. Right now I am on an oriental chicken roll up at Applebees kick. And I have to do that because if I order something else, it might not be as good. And then I'll spend the entire time wishing I had ordered what I really wanted to begin with.

  7. I hear ya - I'm a creature of habit, too. And my favorite color is still green! Hey, did you see in People that purple boots are all the rage this season? *giggle* As if People is my source of fashion...as if I am a fashion diva - Ha! But I thought of you when I saw the purple boots!!!

  8. That's your cat in the window?! My goodness!! Okay, all I can think of when I see that cat is that she would be so perfect if you dunked her in grape koolaid mix. *giggle* You know how youngins do that to dye their hair - well, shoot, I wonder how well that would work on cat skin??? *big grin*

  10. I just love the quirky-ness of your blog. But I gotta say, I thoroughly believe these tags/Memes/whatevers are way more trouble than they're worth, and I usually don't participate. But since you practically double dog dared me to do it with pics, I'll try... might take a few days.

  12. ooh I like yours!

I'm such a creature of habit too. I'm the same way with the restaurant dish thing. It annoys me though when you go to a really good place one day and then go back a week later and they alternate chefs and the dish wasn't as good as it was the first time!

  13. First, I HAVE to get pics of my old kitchen up on my blog-- we redid it ourselves and I used a creamy green and PURPLE-- I had forgotten. I hated the house but loved the kitchen. I also love Lou Diamond Phillips. Have you seen him guest on the show Numbers? He is still VERY cool...
