A Cause For Celebration!!!

Homeschooling in California is now legal again! In a unanimous decision, the California Court of Appeal for the Second Appellate District ruled today that "California statues permit home schooling as a species of private school education", which overturned the February ruling that deemed homeschool illegal and unconstitutional in California.

No more worrying about Mr. Truant Officer coming to the door.

I'd like to thank my Governator, the Home School Legal Defense Association, California Homeschool Network, everyone who signed the petition to get the previous court ruling overturned, my mom for giving birth to me, my husband for letting me paint the house purple, Charles Alderton for inventing Dr. Pepper, and Joss Whedon for, well, everything.

Today is a great day indeed!

I'll leave you with some more celebratory pictures...
