As I promised in an earlier post, I am posting the real picture we used for our Christmas cards. It’s a real winner, huh?
The kids are tucked safely in their beds right now. When morning comes, they will experience the joy of finally unwrapping all those gifts they’ve been staring at for weeks under the tree. They’ve done such a fantastic job of not touching the presents (or the tree ornaments). We will be celebrating Marlie, Jesus and Haven’s birthdays all this week. (in that order)
While I’m excited for Christmas to come, I’m sad that my Christmas Carol listening is coming to an end. I’ve been sticking mostly to my usual playlist of Christmas songs by Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Eartha Kitt, etc. etc. Take my word for it when I say it’s a rockin’ mix. Every year I add more Christmas albums to my rotation.
People who I think need to release Christmas albums next year: Sting, Mary J. Blige and Dave Matthews.
Word of advice: If one of your children makes a request for you to play “Pirate Christmas Music”, go to iTunes and download Crash Test Dummies album “Jingle All The Way”. Tell that child it’s Pirate Christmas music and they will love it. Not to mention you get head shaking and really interesting faces from your husband every time you play it.
And if you happen to celebrate Christmas... I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
But if you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I’d like to wish you a very happy Tuesday. Have a good time at the movies.
